support / FAQ

Account and Connection FAQs

Find help at each step, from subscription updates to refund requests. Check your account status first, then review the client and route, and finally check the destination service’s access rules.

account / subscription

Account & Subscription

Your account gives you access to the dashboard; your subscription loads connection settings. Keep both secure.

Do I need an email address to create an account?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Keep both safe, and save the site address in your password manager. Before signing in, check the domain carefully, then enter your account details. Always sign out when using a shared device. Your account password and client subscription serve different purposes: the password gives you access to the dashboard, while the subscription provides connection settings. Don’t use one in place of the other or share either publicly. If you can’t sign in, check your keyboard input, capitalization, and whether your password manager filled in credentials for another site. Then use the account support options available in the dashboard.

How do I get, update, or reimport my subscription?

Sign in to get your subscription. In the dashboard, find the subscription link for your account and import it using a method supported by your client. To refresh an existing setup, choose the update option in the client’s subscription or configuration settings rather than adding the same configuration again. After updating, check that the location list appears correctly and that the client is using the refreshed configuration. If the update fails, check your local network and subscription status in the dashboard. If the dashboard offers a subscription reset, replace the old link saved on each device with the new one. Your subscription link contains access credentials, so hide the full address when reporting an issue.

Do I need to choose a new plan when I switch devices?

There’s no device limit. You don’t need to choose a new plan just because you’re switching computers or mobile devices. Sign in to the same account on the new device, get a compatible client, and import your current subscription. Supported platforms: Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. During the transfer, make sure the new device loads the configuration correctly before removing subscriptions and account details you no longer use from the old device. Device count and data allowance are separate: unlimited devices does not mean unlimited data. Monthly plans and data packages follow the limits of the plan you choose. If a device is lost, review your account security and manage subscription credentials through the options available in the dashboard.

Where can I get the client? What do I need for iOS access?

Get the client from the download section of the user dashboard; there’s no need to look for a static installer link. After signing in, you can access the Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux clients. iOS access is available according to the active plan eligibility shown in the dashboard. After installing the client, sign in to the dashboard to get your subscription and import it. Installing the app alone doesn’t provide a usable connection configuration. Choose the option for your device’s operating system and follow the dashboard instructions to grant any required system permissions. If a download option is unavailable or the system displays a warning, note the operating system, exact message, and step where it appeared, then report it through a support ticket. Don’t download replacement installers from unverified sites.

connection / diagnostics

Connections & Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot in this order: local network, account status, client settings, then the destination app. Avoid changing multiple settings at once.

The client says it’s connected, but websites won’t load. Where should I start?

Disconnect the client first and check whether your local network can open the websites you normally use. If the local network itself isn’t working, resolve that connection issue first. Next, check your plan and data status, update your subscription, and make sure the client has an active route selected rather than just showing the import screen. Reconnect and test several different websites to see whether all access is failing or only one service is unavailable. If the issue persists after switching routes, check your system clock, proxy settings, and any error messages from the client. Change one setting at a time and note what changes, so you can identify the cause instead of losing track after changing rules, locations, and system network settings all at once.

Why does my browser work, but a particular app doesn’t use the proxy?

Browsers and apps may use different network paths. Some apps use the system proxy, while others have their own network settings. Client routing rules may also send an app or domain through your local network. Check the client’s current mode and whether its rules match the app, then see if the app has its own proxy settings. If the client offers a mode that routes app traffic, enable it as instructed and make sure you’ve granted the required system permissions. Command-line tools and IDE plugins may need their own proxy environment settings. Don’t assume that because your browser works, every app is using the proxy. After changing settings, restart the app and check whether its requests are routed as expected.

What should I do if I still can’t connect after joining hotel or public Wi-Fi?

Public Wi-Fi may require you to complete a web-based sign-in first. Temporarily disconnect the client, open a browser, and check for the network provider’s sign-in page. Complete the normal network access steps before reconnecting. Never enter your NiniVPN password or subscription link on an unfamiliar sign-in page. If the local network works but the connection still fails, update your subscription, try another route, and check whether other proxy tools are running. If switching to another working network resolves the issue, it’s likely related to the original network environment. When submitting a support ticket, mention whether the issue only occurs on that network and include the error message with personal information hidden to help narrow down the cause.

What information should I include in a connection support ticket?

Describe the issue through the support ticket section of the user dashboard. Include your platform, client name, selected location, network type, where the issue occurs, and the exact error message. Also say whether it affects all websites or only a particular app, and whether updating the subscription, switching routes, or changing networks made a difference. These details are more useful than simply saying the connection is slow. Check screenshots and logs for private information, and hide passwords, subscription links, access credentials, and sensitive payment details. Don’t share your full configuration for troubleshooting. If you’re unsure whether a log is safe to share, summarize the error first, then provide redacted details as requested in the ticket.

Before sharing a screenshot, check the address bar, configuration details, and logs for credentials. Troubleshooting needs the symptoms and error message—not your account password or full subscription link.

network / route selection

Speed & Routes

Location determines the network exit point; your experience also depends on your local network, routing, and the destination service.

How should I choose a country, location, or route?

NiniVPN covers 120+ countries and 250+ routes. First check which locations the service you want to use supports, then choose a route based on your network and actual connection performance. A closer location can be a useful starting point, but it doesn’t guarantee a faster connection; local access, routing, and congestion at the exit point all affect performance. For everyday use, keep a reliable route as your usual choice and switch when needed to a location supported by the service. The locations and configurations available in your account’s subscription list are the definitive reference. A route location determines the network exit point; it doesn’t change your account’s region, payment eligibility, or content rights on the destination platform.

How can I tell whether peak-hour slowdowns are caused by my local network or the route?

Pause downloads, cloud sync, and other network-heavy tasks first, then check whether the websites you normally use are also slow. If local browsing is slow too, check your Wi-Fi signal, router, and network connection. If only the current international route is affected, compare it with another route using the same destination and the same app settings. Avoid changing the location and app settings at the same time. For video buffering, check the platform’s playback status and quality setting; downloads may also be limited by the source server. When submitting a ticket, include the approximate time, location, and symptoms. That’s more useful than judging an entire route based on one connection test.

Why are downloads or videos still slow when route latency is low?

Latency mainly measures round-trip response time. Downloads and video playback also depend on available throughput, connection stability, the source server’s response, and how the app handles data. A fast response doesn’t guarantee fast, sustained transfers, and one status number can’t capture the whole experience. Test the service you actually want to use: check whether a webpage loads fully, a video plays continuously, or AI tool responses stream without interruption. When comparing routes, keep the device, network, and app the same, and avoid background downloads. If only one destination is slow, check its service status and account restrictions too. Route status shown on the page is no substitute for testing on your own network and isn’t a speed guarantee.

Why does an AI tool or streaming service still say my location isn’t supported after I connect?

A successful connection means the network link is established; it doesn’t mean you meet the destination platform’s account requirements or regional rules. AI tools and streaming services may check your exit location, account details, session history, content rights, and their own risk controls. First confirm which locations the service currently supports, choose a matching route, and start a new session as the platform recommends. Switching locations frequently can make verification and troubleshooting harder, so use a consistent location that complies with the platform’s rules. If a webpage loads but sign-in, playback, or API requests fail, note the exact error and investigate each issue separately. NiniVPN provides network connectivity and can’t grant access to a platform account or its content.

billing / refunds

Billing & Refunds

First distinguish monthly plans from data packages, then check your order, data reset rules, and refund terms.

How much do monthly plans and data packages cost, and which should I choose?

Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB · ¥18/month for 250GB · ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packages: ¥158 for 300GB · ¥358 for 1000GB · ¥658 for 3000GB. Data packages don’t expire and remain available until used. If you use the service regularly with fairly consistent data needs, compare your usage with the monthly plan allowances. If your usage schedule varies, review how data packages are billed. The main difference is that monthly plan data resets each month on your start date, while package data remains available until used. Consider your actual needs before choosing. Unlimited devices doesn’t mean unlimited data, and monthly reset rules don’t apply to data packages. Choose a plan in the user dashboard.

When does monthly data reset? What happens if I upgrade mid-cycle?

Monthly plan data resets each month on the day your plan started. For a mid-cycle upgrade, the price difference is prorated into the remaining days. Check the current plan, data status, and billing details shown in the user dashboard rather than assuming data resets at the start of the calendar month. To upgrade, review the available plans and confirmation screen in the plan section before deciding whether to proceed. An upgrade doesn’t mean extra data or time is added outside your existing cycle. If the amount shown differs from what you expected, save the current page details and ask for confirmation through a support ticket. Data packages remain available until used and don’t expire, unlike the monthly reset cycle; the two are calculated differently.

Which payment methods are supported? What if my plan status doesn’t update after payment?

Supported payment methods: Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Choose a plan in the user dashboard and pay using the method shown on your order. Before paying, check the plan, amount, and order status. After payment, return to the dashboard to check the result. If payment is complete but your plan status hasn’t updated, first make sure you’re signed in to the account used for the order. Then refresh the order page and check for any pending notices. Don’t submit the same payment again just to refresh the page. If you need help, provide the order record and a payment receipt with sensitive details hidden through a support ticket. Check payment and plan status against the order; don’t rely only on whether the browser’s return page opened successfully.

How do I request a refund? Do I need to explain the connection issue?

14-day refunds, no reason required. To request one, sign in to the user dashboard and submit your request through the support ticket section, including the relevant order details so it can be reviewed. See the Terms of Service for the full refund terms. You don’t need to provide troubleshooting results as a reason for a no-reason refund. You can describe the issue if you wish, but keep a troubleshooting ticket separate from a refund request. Before submitting, check that the order belongs to the current account and hide sensitive payment details in any screenshots. Refer to the ticket and order records in the dashboard for the outcome. This page makes no separate promises about processing times, payment provider speed, or offers beyond the stated terms.
